Stock Screener

Filter stocks by fundamentals, technicals, price action, and patterns

What it does

Scans the entire NSE/BSE universe and returns a filtered list of stocks that match your exact criteria — price, volume, sector, pattern score, RSI range, and more.

Why it matters

Instead of checking 5,000+ stocks manually, the Screener shortlists only the ones that fit your strategy in seconds. It saves hours and removes emotion from stock selection.

When to use it
  • Every evening to shortlist candidates for tomorrow
  • Before market open to find momentum stocks
  • Weekend research for swing setups
Where to find it

Top navigation → Screener or via the AI Tools dashboard. Also accessible from any signal card via "View in Screener".

How to use it — step by step
  1. Go to Screener from the top navigation.
  2. Choose a base filter: Sector, Market Cap, or Pattern type.
  3. Set your technical filters — RSI range (e.g. 50–70), Volume > 20-day average, EMA alignment.
  4. Add a pattern score filter: set minimum score to 70+ for high-probability setups.
  5. Click Run Screen. Review the results list — sort by score or volume.
  6. Click any stock to open the AI Intelligence report for deeper analysis.
  7. Add shortlisted stocks to your Watchlist for tracking.
Common mistakes
  • Using too many filters — leads to zero results or overfitting to past data
  • Ignoring volume confirmation — low volume breakouts often fail
  • Running the Screener during market hours — results change every minute, best used pre/post market
  • Not checking the sector context — a stock can look great but fail in a weak sector
Real example

Setup: Sector = IT, RSI = 55–70, Volume > 1.5x average, Pattern Score > 75, Price > 200 EMA. Result: Returns 8–12 stocks in a bullish technical setup within the IT sector. Add all to watchlist → check AI report → shortlist top 3 for swing trade.

AI Pattern Scanner

Real-time chart pattern detection across NSE & BSE

What it does

Continuously scans all NSE/BSE stocks and flags those forming recognisable chart patterns — Cup & Handle, Double Top, Bull Flag, Head & Shoulders, and 30+ more.

Why it matters

Manually scanning thousands of charts daily is impossible. The AI Scanner does it in seconds, backed by 7 years of backtested pattern data so you get only high-probability setups.

When to use it
  • Morning scan before 9:15 AM to find day trade setups
  • After 3:30 PM for swing trade candidates
  • Set to auto-refresh every 15 minutes during market hours
Where to find it

Navigation → Tools → AI Scanner. Or use the quick-access Scanner button on the dashboard.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Open Tools → AI Scanner.
  2. Filter by timeframe: 15min (intraday), 1hr (swing), Daily (positional).
  3. Filter by pattern type: Bullish only, Bearish only, or All.
  4. Sort by Pattern Score (higher = stronger signal).
  5. Click a stock card to view the pattern chart overlay and confidence score.
  6. Cross-check with the AI Intelligence report before acting.
  7. Set a price alert at the breakout level — the Scanner shows this automatically.
Common mistakes
  • Acting on every pattern without checking the broader market trend
  • Ignoring the pattern score — below 65 means low confidence
  • Entering before confirmation — wait for a candle close above the breakout level
Real example

Scanner finds: TMPV forming Bull Flag on Daily chart, score 82, volume 2.1x average. Action: Check AI report → bullish bias confirmed → set alert at ₹935 breakout level → enter on next-day open above ₹935 → target ₹975 (flag pole projection).

AI Market Intelligence

Deep analysis reports for individual stocks — powered by Claude AI

What it does

Generates a comprehensive AI analysis report for any stock — covering technical summary, pattern signals, fundamental snapshot, market sentiment, peer comparison, and a plain-English verdict.

Why it matters

Instead of reading 10 different articles, you get one structured report that gives you a complete picture of the stock in under 2 minutes. Reduces bad trades caused by incomplete information.

When to use it
  • Before entering any trade — validate your thesis
  • When a Scanner signal appears on a stock you don't know
  • During earnings season to understand risk/reward
Where to find it

Navigation → AI Intelligence. Also accessible by clicking any stock from the Scanner, Screener, or Signals page.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Go to AI Intelligence from the top navigation.
  2. Search for any NSE/BSE stock by name or symbol.
  3. Click Generate Report — report generates in 10–15 seconds.
  4. Read the Technical Summary: trend direction, support/resistance, pattern signals.
  5. Check the AI Verdict section at the bottom: Bullish / Bearish / Neutral with reasoning.
  6. Use the Peer Comparison tab to see if the sector is also strong.
  7. Combine the report verdict with your own chart read before deciding.
Common mistakes
  • Treating the AI verdict as a buy/sell recommendation — it is an analysis tool, not a signal
  • Running the report once and not refreshing it after major news or price moves
  • Ignoring the risk section — it highlights key downside scenarios
Real example

Scanner flags HDFCBANK on a Cup & Handle breakout. Open AI Intelligence report → Technical summary shows price above all EMAs, RSI 62, strong volume. Verdict: Bullish. Peer check: Private banks sector showing relative strength. Confidence to trade increases significantly.

Signals & Breakouts

Live pattern alerts based on AI pattern detection and volume confirmation

What it does

Delivers pre-screened breakout signals with entry price, target, stop-loss, and pattern score. Signals are generated when a stock meets all breakout criteria simultaneously.

Why it matters

Timing is everything in trading. Live signals remove the guesswork of "when to enter" by alerting you at the exact breakout moment with a pre-calculated risk-reward.

When to use it
  • 9:15–10:30 AM for intraday momentum entries
  • Post 3:30 PM for overnight swing setups
  • Enable push notifications to not miss signals
Where to find it

Navigation → Signals. Signals are also emailed daily at 11 AM IST. Enable notifications in your Profile settings.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Open Signals page from the navigation.
  2. Filter by signal type: Breakout, Reversal, Momentum, or All.
  3. Check the Signal Score — focus on 75+ for higher reliability.
  4. Read the signal card: note the entry zone, target 1 & 2, and stop-loss level.
  5. Open the AI Intelligence report for the signalled stock to validate further.
  6. Place your trade with proper position sizing (max 2–3% risk per trade).
  7. Set an alert at your stop-loss and target levels via the Alerts section.
Common mistakes
  • Chasing signals that are already up 3–5% from the entry price shown
  • Ignoring the stop-loss level — never trade a signal without knowing your exit
  • Over-trading by taking every signal — focus on 2–3 high-quality signals daily
Real example

Signal: ADANIPORTS breakout above ₹1,220 resistance. Score: 78. Target 1: ₹1,265, Target 2: ₹1,310. Stop: ₹1,198. Risk-reward: 1:2.3. Volume at signal time: 1.8x average. Entry on next 15-min candle close above ₹1,220.

FII/DII Data Tracker

Monitor institutional buying and selling to understand smart money flow

What it does

Shows daily and cumulative FII (Foreign Institutional Investors) and DII (Domestic Institutional Investors) buying/selling data for the cash and F&O markets.

Why it matters

Institutions move markets. When FIIs are consistently net buyers over 5–10 days, markets tend to trend upward. FII/DII data helps you trade with smart money, not against it.

When to use it
  • Every morning before planning your trades
  • When markets are indecisive — FII/DII flow reveals the dominant force
  • At the end of each month to assess the broader trend
Where to find it

Navigation → Dashboard → FII/DII section. Also available in the AI Intelligence report's Market Context tab for each stock.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Open the Dashboard and scroll to the FII/DII tracker.
  2. Look at the 7-day trend — are FIIs net buyers or net sellers overall?
  3. Check the Cash vs F&O split — F&O selling with cash buying can signal hedging, not distribution.
  4. Cross-reference with the Nifty chart — is price action aligned with FII direction?
  5. If FIIs are net buyers for 5+ consecutive days → bullish bias for large-cap stocks.
  6. Use this as a market filter — only take long trades when FII flow is positive.
Common mistakes
  • Reacting to a single day of FII/DII data — look for multi-day trends
  • Confusing F&O selling with market bearishness — it is often hedging
  • Ignoring DII buying — when FIIs sell but DIIs buy strongly, markets often hold support
Real example

FIIs net bought ₹4,200 Cr over 6 consecutive days. Nifty held 200 EMA support despite global weakness. Signal: Bullish bias intact. Strategy: Buy dips in large-cap IT and Banking stocks rather than shorting the market.

Watchlist & Alerts

Track your shortlisted stocks and get notified at the right moment

What it does

Lets you save stocks you're watching, set price alerts, and receive notifications when a stock hits your target entry, exit, or stop-loss level.

Why it matters

You can't monitor hundreds of stocks in real time. A well-organised watchlist with alerts means you only look at a stock when something actionable happens.

When to use it
  • Add stocks after your evening screener session
  • Set alerts immediately after shortlisting a trade setup
  • Review and clean your watchlist every weekend
Where to find it

Navigation → Tools → AI Scanner → Watchlist tab. Add to watchlist from any stock page, signal card, or screener result with the bookmark icon.

How to use it — step by step
  1. After your evening screener session, shortlist 5–10 stocks.
  2. Click the Watchlist (bookmark) icon on each stock card to save it.
  3. Open Tools → AI Scanner → Watchlist to see all saved stocks.
  4. Click "Set Alert" on each stock — enter the trigger price (breakout level or support).
  5. Enable Email or Push notifications in your Profile → Alert settings.
  6. When an alert fires, open the AI Intelligence report and decide whether to act.
  7. Remove stocks that have broken down or reached their targets to keep the list focused.
Common mistakes
  • Adding 50+ stocks to the watchlist — too many kills focus. Keep it under 20.
  • Setting alerts but not reviewing the chart when they fire
  • Never cleaning old stocks — a stale watchlist misleads you
Real example

Screener returns BAJFINANCE as a candidate. Add to watchlist. Set alert at ₹7,200 (resistance breakout level). Two days later, alert fires at 9:32 AM. Open AI report — bullish bias still intact. Enter trade at ₹7,205 on confirmation candle close.

Portfolio Hub

Track all your holdings, P&L, and get AI-powered portfolio insights

What it does

Lets you import or manually add your holdings, view real-time P&L, analyse sector diversification, and get AI recommendations to improve portfolio health.

Why it matters

Most traders don't know if their portfolio is truly diversified or heavily skewed toward one sector. The Portfolio Hub reveals concentration risk and opportunities you're missing.

When to use it
  • Weekly review of all open positions
  • Before adding a new position — check if you're over-exposed to one sector
  • Monthly performance review vs Nifty benchmark
Where to find it

Navigation → Portfolio Hub. Connect your Zerodha account for automatic sync, or add positions manually.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Go to Portfolio Hub from the navigation.
  2. Add holdings manually: enter stock symbol, quantity, average buy price.
  3. View the Sector Breakdown pie chart — check if any sector exceeds 30% of portfolio.
  4. Click AI Analysis to get a portfolio health report.
  5. Review underperforming stocks — compare vs sector benchmark.
  6. Use the Rebalance Suggestions to see what the AI recommends adjusting.
Common mistakes
  • Holding 20+ stocks and calling it diversification — over-diversification dilutes returns
  • Not tracking average buy price accurately — distorts true P&L
  • Ignoring sector concentration — having 60% in Banking creates high correlated risk

Sector & Industry Analysis

Understand which sectors are leading, lagging, and rotating

What it does

Displays a live sector heatmap showing performance across NSE sectors — Banking, IT, Auto, FMCG, Pharma, Metal, Realty, and more. Includes 1-day, 1-week, and 1-month views.

Why it matters

Even great stocks underperform in weak sectors. Trading with sector momentum significantly improves your win rate because you have both the stock and the sector working in your favour.

When to use it
  • Every morning as part of your pre-market routine
  • Before entering a position in a new sector
  • When determining which industry to screen for swing trades
Where to find it

Navigation → Dashboard → Sector Analysis section. The Scanner also lets you filter patterns by sector.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Open the Dashboard → scroll to Sector Heatmap.
  2. Identify the top 2–3 performing sectors over the last 5 days.
  3. Switch to the Screener → set sector filter to those performing sectors.
  4. Add pattern score filter (75+) to find the best setups within strong sectors.
  5. Avoid entering positions in sectors with negative 5-day momentum unless you have a specific contra-trend thesis.
Real example

Sector heatmap shows Auto sector up 3.2% over 5 days, outperforming Nifty by 1.8%. Run Screener with Sector = Auto, RSI = 55–70, Volume > average. Returns MARUTI, TATAMOTOR, BAJAJ-AUTO. Run AI Intelligence on each → pick highest-scoring setup.

Market Dashboard

Your daily command centre — indices, breadth, sentiment, and market overview

What it does

Shows a real-time overview of Nifty 50, BankNifty, Sensex, global indices, India VIX, market breadth (advance/decline ratio), top gainers/losers, and sector performance.

Why it matters

The dashboard tells you the "state of the market" in one glance — whether conditions favour buying, selling, or staying out.

When to use it
  • First thing every morning — 5 minute market read
  • Midday check to reassess market mood
  • Before placing any trade to check overall risk environment
Where to find it

Navigation → Dashboard. This is the default landing page after login.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Open Dashboard at 9:00 AM before market opens.
  2. Check India VIX — above 20 = high volatility, trade smaller. Below 14 = calm market.
  3. Look at Advance/Decline ratio from yesterday's close — above 1.5 means broad-based buying.
  4. Check Global markets — US futures direction often sets the opening tone for Indian markets.
  5. Review FII/DII data from the previous day — confirms institutional direction.
  6. Use this 5-minute read to set your bias for the day: aggressive long, defensive, or stay out.
Real example

Morning read: VIX at 12.8 (low), Advance/Decline at 2.1, FII net buyers ₹1,800 Cr yesterday, US futures +0.4%. Bias: Bullish. Decision: Take long setups from the Scanner with full position sizing. Avoid shorts today.

Trading Simulator

Practice trading with virtual money — test strategies without real risk

What it does

Lets you place virtual buy/sell orders on real NSE/BSE stocks using paper money. Tracks your simulated P&L, win rate, and trading behaviour over time.

Why it matters

New traders who jump straight to real money often blow their accounts in the first 3 months. The Simulator lets you build confidence, test strategies, and make mistakes without losing real capital.

When to use it
  • When you're new to trading — minimum 30 days in simulator before going live
  • When testing a new strategy you haven't used before
  • During high-volatility periods when real trading feels risky
Where to find it

Navigation → Simulator. Your simulated portfolio is separate from your real portfolio.

How to use it — step by step
  1. Open Simulator from the navigation — you start with ₹10,00,000 virtual capital.
  2. Use the Scanner or Screener to find a setup you want to test.
  3. Place a virtual buy order with your intended position size.
  4. Set a virtual stop-loss and target — practice discipline exactly as you would in real trading.
  5. Track your trades over 30 days — review your win rate, average profit, and average loss.
  6. Only move to real trading when your Simulator win rate is consistently above 50% with positive expectancy.
Common mistakes
  • Not treating simulator trades seriously — if you wouldn't do it with real money, don't do it in sim
  • Taking massive position sizes in the simulator that you'd never take in real trading
  • Quitting the simulator too early because "it's just fake money" — the habits you build here transfer directly
Real example

New trader uses Simulator for 60 days. Tracks 48 trades. Win rate: 58%. Average win ₹4,200, average loss ₹2,800. Expectancy: positive. Confidence built. Moves to real trading with ₹50,000 capital, applies the same process — results mirror simulator performance.

Quick Answers

How To / When To / Why To

The most common trading questions — answered in plain English.

Use this 3-step process every evening after 3:30 PM:

  1. Open the AI Pattern Scanner → filter for Bullish patterns → sort by Pattern Score (highest first).
  2. Apply volume filter — only consider stocks with volume > 1.5x their 20-day average at the time of breakout.
  3. Check the AI Intelligence report for the top 5 results — shortlist stocks where the AI verdict is Bullish and the stock is above the 50-day EMA.
Scanner → Screener → AI Report → Watchlist → Alert

Use the AI Pattern Scanner when: you want to find stocks that are currently forming a specific chart pattern. The Scanner is pattern-first — it shows you what the chart looks like right now.

Use the Screener when: you have a specific set of conditions in mind — RSI range, sector, market cap, price above EMA, etc. The Screener is filter-first — you define the rules and it finds matching stocks.

Screener = filter by rules | Scanner = filter by patterns

Most bad trades happen because traders act on incomplete information — they see a bullish chart pattern but miss that: (a) the sector is weak, (b) earnings are in 3 days, (c) FIIs have been selling the stock, or (d) the RSI is already at 85 (overbought).

The AI Intelligence report checks all of these factors simultaneously and presents a single verdict. When you read it before every trade, you avoid acting on setups that look good on the surface but have hidden risks.

AI Intelligence → second opinion before every trade
  • Dashboard → Sector Heatmap: shows colour-coded performance of all NSE sectors over 1-day, 5-day, and 1-month periods.
  • Screener → Sector filter: lets you filter stocks by specific sectors. Combine with a "Performance vs Nifty" filter to find stocks outperforming their sector index.
  1. Find your target stock via Scanner or Screener.
  2. Add it to your Watchlist using the bookmark icon.
  3. Open the Watchlist → click Set Alert next to the stock.
  4. Enter the trigger price (the breakout resistance level).
  5. Select notification method: Email, Push notification, or both.
  6. Save. You'll receive an alert the moment the stock price touches or crosses that level.

Tip: Set two alerts — one at the breakout level (entry trigger) and one at your stop-loss level (exit trigger).

  1. 3:35 PM — Check Dashboard: VIX, FII/DII data, market breadth. Set your bias.
  2. 4:00 PM — Run Screener with your preferred filters. Get a list of 20–30 candidates.
  3. 4:30 PM — Open AI Pattern Scanner → filter by Daily timeframe → look for stocks on your screener list that also have a bullish pattern forming.
  4. 5:00 PM — Run AI Intelligence reports on the top 5 overlapping stocks.
  5. 5:30 PM — Add the best 3–5 stocks to your watchlist. Set breakout alerts for each.
  • Pattern check: Does the AI Scanner show a bullish pattern on the stock? Score 70+?
  • AI Intelligence: Run the full report. Is the overall verdict Bullish? Is RSI below 75?
  • Sector check: Is the stock's sector showing positive 5-day momentum on the heatmap?
  • Market check: Is the broader market (Nifty) in an uptrend or at a key support? Check Dashboard.

If all 4 checks are green → high confidence trade. If 2–3 are green → proceed with smaller position. If only 1 is green → skip.

Pattern + AI Report + Sector + Market = 4-point checklist

StockTrendz AI patterns are backtested on 7 years of NSE/BSE data. Patterns with a score above 75 have historically shown a 60–68% success rate when used with proper volume confirmation and a defined stop-loss.

Important: No tool predicts markets with certainty. The scores represent probability, not guarantees. Always use a stop-loss and risk only 1–2% of your capital per trade regardless of the signal score.

Score 75+ = higher probability | Always use stop-loss

RELIANCE Industries — Wyckoff Accumulation

NSE · March 2020 – July 2020 · Timeframe: Weekly

+95% in 4 monthsPattern: Wyckoff AccumulationAI Score: 87/100Breakout: ₹1,390
Context: COVID-19 market crash caused a 40% decline from ₹1,618 to ₹867 (Selling Climax on March 23, 2020 with 8× average volume). This violent sell-off was the classic Wyckoff Phase A.

Accumulation Phase (April–June 2020): Price consolidated between ₹870–₹1,100. An Automatic Rally to ₹1,100 was followed by a Secondary Test at ₹960. Crucially, the Spring (brief dip to ₹832) on April 27th showed declining volume — smart money was not distributing, they were absorbing.

Sign of Strength (June 18): Reliance surged above ₹1,100 AR high on record volume. Rights issue announcement acted as a catalyst but the Wyckoff structure was already complete.

Markup Phase: From ₹1,390 breakout the stock ran to ₹2,369 (July 2020) — a 95% gain from the Spring and a 70% gain from the breakout point.

Key Lesson: The Spring (brief false breakdown) is the highest-conviction Wyckoff entry. It traps late shorts while smart money accumulates. Volume is the tell — a Spring on declining volume is bullish.

ICICI Bank — Cup & Handle Breakout

NSE · Jan 2019 – Sep 2019 · Timeframe: Weekly

+45% in 5 monthsPattern: Cup & HandleAI Score: 91/100Breakout: ₹420
Context: ICICI Bank had recovered from its 2018 management crisis and NPA cycle. The stock carved a textbook cup from ₹245 (Dec 2018) to ₹420 (May 2019) over 22 weeks — exactly within the ideal 12–26 week window.

Cup Formation: The base was U-shaped (not V-shaped — important), formed as the banking sector stabilised post-RBI rate cuts. Volume was lowest at the cup bottom (₹245 area) and rising on the right side.

Handle Formation (June–August 2019): A 3-week pullback to ₹390 (7% decline) on low volume formed the handle. The handle was well contained — less than 15% of the cup depth.

Breakout (Sep 3, 2019): ICICI Bank broke ₹420 on 4× average volume following positive commentary from RBI's Monetary Policy Committee.

Target achieved: Cup depth ₹175 (₹245 → ₹420) added to breakout = ₹595. Stock hit ₹606 in February 2020.

SUN PHARMA — Head & Shoulders Breakdown

NSE · Mar – Oct 2015 · Timeframe: Daily/Weekly

–38% in 6 monthsPattern: Head & Shoulders TopAI Score: 88/100Breakdown: ₹780
Context: Sun Pharma had rallied 300% in 3 years. In early 2015, US FDA issues and Ranbaxy integration concerns began weighing on sentiment — classic distribution conditions.

Pattern Formation (Mar–Aug 2015): Left shoulder at ₹920, Head at ₹1,050 (April high), Right shoulder at ₹880. The head was formed on the highest volume of the pattern — selling climax at the top. The right shoulder formed on declining volume — sellers in control.

Neckline: Drawn across the two reaction lows at ₹780. This level had been tested 3 times as support during the pattern formation — its break was highly significant.

Breakdown Trigger (Oct 2015): A US FDA import alert on a manufacturing facility caused a gap-down breakdown below ₹780 on 6× average volume.

Outcome: The measured move target gave ₹510. Stock bottomed at ₹650 — 87% of the projected target achieved in 6 months.

DMart (Avenue Supermarts) — Bull Flag Continuation

NSE · Aug – Oct 2021 · Timeframe: Daily

+22% in 5 weeksPattern: Bull FlagAI Score: 79/100Entry: ₹3,850
Context: After Q1FY22 results showed revenue recovery post-lockdown, DMart rallied sharply from ₹3,100 to ₹3,800 over 15 trading days — the flagpole (+22.5%).

Flag Formation (Sep 1–20): Price consolidated in a gentle downward channel between ₹3,620 and ₹3,800. Volume fell to 40% of the flagpole average — textbook drying up.

Entry Trigger (Sep 21): A strong Q2 monthly sales update caused a gap-up opening above the flag's upper boundary. Volume was 3× above the flag's average.

Target Calculation: Flagpole height ₹700 (₹3,100 → ₹3,800) added to breakout ₹3,850 = ₹4,550. DMart hit ₹4,698 on October 15, 2021.

Key Lesson: Bull flags work best when: (1) the flagpole is steep, (2) consolidation volume dries up completely, and (3) a catalyst aligns with the technical breakout.

TATA POWER — Wyckoff Distribution & Breakdown

NSE · Oct 2021 – Mar 2022 · Timeframe: Weekly

–47% in 4 monthsPattern: Wyckoff DistributionAI Score: 82/100Breakdown: ₹230
Context: Tata Power ran from ₹55 (March 2020) to ₹295 (October 2021) — a 436% gain in 18 months, driven by EV and renewable energy narratives. This parabolic move set the stage for classic Wyckoff Distribution.

Distribution Phase (Oct–Dec 2021): After the ₹295 high, an Upthrust After Distribution (UTAD) occurred at ₹296 on decreasing volume — a classic trap for breakout buyers. Price then retreated into a trading range between ₹210–₹260.

Multiple SOWs: The stock made several weak rallies that failed below ₹260 and plunged below the range on increasing volume.

Last Point of Supply (LPSY) at ₹245: A final weak bounce in February 2022 that reversed quickly on moderate volume.

Breakdown: The ₹210 support broke in March 2022. Measured move from trading range height (₹85) projected a target of ₹125. Stock hit ₹160 (partial target) before recovering on fresh EV policy news.
